Bloomsbury Public Space Crawl (Museum of Architecture)

2022 | London

As part of the public programme accompanying the return of The Garden of Privatised Delights to London, Madeleine and Manijeh led the Public Space Crawl for the Museum of Architecture, inviting contributors to the British Pavilion to speak about different types of public space along the route. Beginning at the Architectural Association and ending at the Building Centre, where the British Pavilion was on display, the walking tour explored examples of privatised public space across Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia. The city became a platform for discussion, encouraging participants to reflect on questions of ownership, access and use, and consider how we might rethink public space to be more inclusive.
